In 2024, Nord Minerals assumed a challenging commitment to upgrade a crushing facility at one of the largest metallurgical enterprises in Kazakhstan.
The existing equipment, including outdated cone crushers and belt feeders, no longer met production needs. Frequent downtime, high costs, and insufficient productivity reduced the efficiency of the enterprise.
Besides, the client was dissatisfied with agglomerate quality: raw material fractions greater than 8 mm increased fuel consumption and worsened metallurgical properties of the finished product.
Nord Minerals offered a comprehensive upgrade solution for the facility, which included:
After the upgrade, the capacity of the facility will nearly double from 350 t/h to 700 t/h. Energy consumption, operating costs, and unscheduled downtime periods will decrease. The enterprise will be able to optimize its costs, and improve the quality of the agglomerate, thus finding new export opportunities.
This project is an example of how the combination of sophisticated technologies, engineering approach, and a keen understanding of production processes can improve the work of a large enterprise.
