Nord Minerals and ROITECH Expand Solution Reference Base

Nord Minerals supplied four ROITECH water pumps for feeding recycled water to Kazakhstan’s major gold mining company whose production capacity is estimated at > 2 million tons of ore per annum.

In order to increase productivity and upgrade obsolete units, the customer announced a bidding procedure for the supply of pumping equipment, namely water pumps for feeding recycled water to the processing plant.

Nord Minerals submitted a bid for supplying equipment by its strategic partner, ROITECH; the technical and commercial offer included two ROITECH pump units with a capacity of 1,000 m3/h and 800 m3/h, respectively, assembled with electric motors, frequency converters, and shut-off and control valves. ROITECH manufactured the RT-SCDI double entry pumps specifically for this project for the first time ever.

With a well-developed technical solution, a proactive stance and the ability to anticipate our customer’s request, we were able to offer more attractive delivery terms and were awarded the contract amid rather tough competition. The installation supervision and commissioning were completed this year in 2Q.

The project is significant because Nord Minerals supplied ROITECH pumps of this type for the first time, thus, expanding the portfolio of implemented solutions. We have no doubt that this contract will be a great contribution to our fruitful cooperation with the customer.
